Almost six months after serving prison time for tax evasion, Lauryn Hill has been hit with nearly $867,000 in tax liens. Hill has been known to claim racism as the reason for her legal issues, stating “the hatred, violence, cruelty and brutality that [black people] were shown by white people for centuries.” Currently she is on a national tour.
